about
CUBE music is designed to blur the architectural spaces that we occupy during our waking hours of the day. Whether it be an office cubical, a personal listening space or the subtly defined spaces within an architectural environment. CUBE music is music at the edge of perception, music meant to expand interior space.
lyrics
Drawing inspiration from the Environment 1 - Chinatown New York trip in 2003, the 1st CUBE uses more of the local street sound recordings and impressions of the long walk around Chinatown on a cloudy rainy day in 2002. You'll hear more street banter and traffic as it ebbs and flows in and out of the sound canvas as an anchoring point of reference.

Part 1 was my 1st Steve Roach experience in 2013 and since his music has consistently been a soundtrack to my reading and practice very pleased to add a few more hrs with this complete set. Smoke-Wind

Right from the first sound you hear, to the last note - this album will transport you to a natural place. I cannot put into words how this album has been such a huge help. It’s like a friend now - like someone who is always there. An amazing album that everyone should own. Thanks so much, Robert. darkstarr666

Beautiful sounds, 'Playing' is a standout track for me. Very elegant in its simplicity, like a distant memory you experience between sleeping, dreaming, and Waking. Beautifully captured L. Russell Stephenson
